Do You Need A CL-100 Termite Letter To Buy or Sell Your Home In Columbia, South Carolina?

If you are selling or buying a home in Columbia, SC you’ll need to obtain a state required Wood Infestation Report ( WIR). This document is commonly known as a CL-100, Termite letter or even Termite Clearance letter.

To receive the termite inspection letter, you will need to get a termite inspection to inspect your home and the wood in your home for termites and wood destroying organisms. This state required inspection includes all wood destroying organisms, including termites, wood boring beetles, and moisture. Once the report is issued, it will not expire for 30 days.
